The Division of Professions and Occupations provides consumer protection through its regulation of more than 610,000 licensees within more than 50 professions, occupations and businesses in the State of Colorado. The Colorado Office of Policy, Research and Regulatory Reform is currently conducting a sunset review of the functions of the Division of Professions and Occupations (Division). The Division of Professions and Occupations regulates more than 550,000 licensees, certificate holders and registrants. Each year, the General Assembly passes legislation directly impacting those populations. Many bills then require rulemaking or other policy updates by the Division or Boards in order to implement these changes.
